It is not so difficult to see how madly in love Roy is with Carmela. Being his first serious girlfriend, Roy is determined to make his relationship with Carmela last. He likes to shower his girlfriend with gifts. Sometimes, the gifts are too expensive that he finds himself short of cash. For this reason, Carmela is accused of being a user by many of Roy's friends. They don't believe that her love for Roy is true and genuine. Carmela has had at least three relationships before Roy came into the picture. Although she always tells everyone how much she loves Roy, there is always doubt in everyone's minds and it does not help that Roy spends his money on her and everyone can see it. Just recently, Roy has been asking some friends for gift ideas for girlfriend bday and he noticed that even his close friends are not so enthusiastic about his relationship with Carmela. This made him feel bad. It was the start of Roy's falling apart with his friends. Since then, he didn't hang out with any of them anymore.
