One Sad Story that Could End in Tragedy

Maria has a very sad story to tell. Having grown up in a foster home, she is yet to feel the love and affection that only family members could afford to give. As such, she grew up wanting in love and attention. When Maria was five, a couple adopted her. Maria was very happy because she thought it was her chance to feel the love she has never felt before. Unfortunately, Maria was wrong. Her adoptive parents did not treat her like a member of the family. Instead, she was asked to work day and night. She was not only battered physically but also verbally abused. When she's had enough, Maria ran away. She worked as a food server in a Leicester catering company. As a result of everything that she's been through, Maria learned to be tough. She did not trust anyone but herself. She did not have friends. She did not want to rely on anyone else for fear that she might just get hurt in the end. For now, Maria is content being alone.
