If you know your Titanic facts as good as you should, and if you don’t there are many things Titanic newspaper articles, textbooks and those historians never told you about. Did you know laws during the early 1900s only required the Titanic to carry 16 life boats? However, the Titanic had an additional 4 lifeboats aboard for its voyage. Titanic newspaper articles were sure to begin with the quote “unsinkable ship” however, no one ever claimed the boat was unsinkable. They said it was almost unsinkable, but none used to famous terminology “unsinkable ship” the developers and owners were not that zealous. Did you know the Titanic probably would have survived if it would have sailed head on into the iceberg instead of trying to veer left to pass it? Over 5 compartments were damaged by hitting the iceberg on the side, had it went straight ahead it would have only destroyed 2 or three compartments. So, the next time you read one of those Titanic newspaper articles, be sure to know your facts. There are many Titanic myths out there.
